Jon Steel (Mt. Hotham, VIC)

I started snowboarding on a frigid December day on dry slope in the North East of England and started my snowsports career in Canada in 2009. Since then my journey has taken me across the world, working in New Zealand, Japan and the USA.

I've worked at Falls Creek and Mt Hotham in Victoria and love sharing my passion for all aspects of snowboarding. Over the years I've aimed to have a holistic understanding of the industry we work in, gaining experience in instructing, training, snowsports management & coaching.

I became a trainer for the APSI in 2018 and a member of the snowboard technical committee in 2022.

I'm excited to learn from some great minds from other associations at Interski 2023 and look to bring back progressive ideas for furthering our association to bring value to our members.
