Description: "In this webinar we will present Bulgarian experience in training snow sports instructors and attracting young people to this profession, through joint efforts of professional association and the Sport University. We will present our concept of basic skiing and snowboarding skills and teaching methodology at different levels using an e-book. We are going to share our experience in popularizing snow sports among students at the Sports University and attracting them to the profession of snow sports instructor."

Assoc. Prof. Petar Iankov, PhD
Petar Iankov is Chairman of the Executive Board of the Professional Association of snow sports instructors. He is Head of Department “Snow Sports’’ at National Sport Academy (The Sport University in Bulgaria). He has experience as a teacher in a children’s sports school and as a coach in a sport club. He has 30 years of experience as a teacher of snow sports to students at the Sport University and also as a trainer of snow sports instructors at the National Association of Snow Sports Instructors in Bulgaria. Petar Iankov is the author of numerous specialized textbooks on snow sports. He has a number of scientific publications in the field of sports and especially in the field of snow sports.
Assoc. Prof Krastio Zgurovski, PhD
Deputy Dean and lecturer in the Department of Snow Sports. Member of the Board of Bulgarian Ski School. Former coach of the national snowboard team of Bulgaria. He is a coach of the Bulgarian demo team. Long-time teacher-theory and practice in the courses for snow sports instructors conducted by the Professional Association of Snow Sports Instructors. He is the author of numerous textbooks for the training of students and instructors in snow sports, as well as a number of scientific research and publications in the field of sports, especially snow sports.
