Richard Jameson - Alpine Coach

Growing up in rural southeast Queensland I spent more time on the green slopes of Samford Grass Ski Park then amongst the snowgums in our alpine region of the snowy mountains. At age nine I was fortunate to be able to slide on snow for the first time in Smiggin Holes and loved every moment spent with family and friends. Combining my previous career of secondary school PE teaching with this passion for the mountains and snow lead me to a career in snowsports. My year is now shared between Mt. Hotham and Lake Tahoe, CA where I work with a variety of companies in teaching, training, and consulting to help our industry and partners deliver fantastic snow experiences to our resort guests. Making the sport of skiing and riding easier and more accessible to everyone has been a career long focus of mine and one I look forward to developing further with our new APSI National Team. Understanding how the world approaches these challenges at Interski and bringing this information back to our members and resort partners will continue to help us grow together.
