Hi, I am Dylan, a 21 year old snowboard instructor based in Mt. Hotham. I am applying to this scholarship because I believe I have shown dedication and an eagerness to excel in the snow sports industry. 
As I am going for my Level 4 this year the scholarship would allow me to put my best foot forward as a I attempt this. 
I am relatively new to the industry but have had a number of opportunities to demonstrate my eagerness to give everything I can to the industry. I have been a coach at Mt Hotham Winter Sports Club since 2022 as an SBX coach where I had the pleasure of coaching a number of athletes who have ended up going to the YOG, as well as the NSWIS team. This Summer I was an Instructor at NISS where I had the opportunity to do some instructor training and help other instructors excel and improve their abilities. 
I show professionalism by coming to work with a smile. I value relationships with coworkers and guests alike ensuring that everyone has the time of their lives. On occasion I will ask if there is anything I can do outside of instructing to help out managers and employees. In Japan I would offer impromptu trainings and help people outside of work to ensure that they were getting the help they needed.
This is an avenue I would love to continue down and develop my career as a well rounded instructor. I plan to be in the industry for the foreseeable future with a passion in the training and coaching side of it.
