Kylie Dwyer - Snowboard Coach

Kylie Dwyer - Snowboard Coach

Where did you grow up?

Sutherland, a suburb of Sydney

Where do you work?

Southern Hemisphere I work at Hotham as the Technical Director and with the APSI as a Trainer & Examiner. Northern Hemisphere I work at Vail, Colorado as an Instructor and Trainer.

What is your connection to the snow?

I became connected to the snow at a later stage than most. I remember there were so many people I grew up with and went to school with that went on snow holidays every year, but I was not one of them. I learnt to Snowboard while on a Working Holiday post finishing my University Degree where I became immediately passionate about it. I then learn to be an instructor and have never looked back. That was 20 years ago!

What was your best snow experience?

I have had so many great experiences on snow, but I would have to say what stands out is getting into the backcountry.  Something about being away from the crowds, getting back to nature and combining this with a sport I love is pretty special!
